Hey there! I'm Christian, a computer engineering student and game developer based in Italy. Studio Ginestra is what I built to make games with care for what ends up on screen, and for who plays it.
We believe digital can still be beautiful, calm, and genuinely human.
Everything we make is an attempt to prove it.

The ginestra (broom flower) is the yellow flower that grows on the slopes of Vesuvius, the volcano I see every day from my window.
The illustrious Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi dedicated one of the last great poems of his life to it:
“E tu, lenta ginestra,
che di selve odorate
queste campagne dispogliate adorni...”
“And you, lovely gorse,
Who adorns with scented bushes
These wasted countries,...”
A plant that chooses to bloom where everything seems impossible, bringing color and scent to a landscape of ash.
But the real message of Leopardi's poem goes further. Faced with the infinite power of nature, humans shouldn't turn against each other. They should unite. Through solidarity and compassion, a “social catena”: a social chain. Only together can we find the strength to make something meaningful out of our existence.
When I needed a name for the studio, I thought about what could represent me most in the world. The answer had been there since I was born, right outside my window. The volcano, the flower, and the idea that the right response to an overwhelming world is to reach for the people next to you. It felt like the only honest name for a studio trying to build games that bring people together.
