Hi everyone!
I wanted to share a more in depth look at the Bii, which made its first appearance in this update (go check it out if you haven't already!).
The Mellifluous Meadows are also called the Green Lung of the World.
Nature completely flourishes here: endless hills of flowers, clovers stretching as far as the eye can see, gusty winds, and even water geysers fill this place.
Amidst all this vibrant nature, you will hear the gentle hum of the Biis. These small, laborious creatures working to pollinate the flowers are the ones that allow the growth of the Glass Fruits.
Without them, our world surely wouldn't be the one we know. You better appreciate them!
Behind the design
While brainstorming how to theme the Meadows realm, I realized that an environment so lush and green really needed its own dedicated caretakers. I thought it would be an awesome idea to center the entire area around a bee-inspired species, and so, the Biis were born!
Their design is mostly inspired by iDogs, in fact, without wings, they might look more like dogs than actual bees xD
Thanks to the massive help of Supra, we managed to bring this vision to life by creating the concept art along with the final 3D model:

A huge shoutout also goes to Beanbag, who actually brought them to life with animations!

Their role in the game
You might be wondering if you can interact with them... Well, if you spot a Bii while bouncing around the Meadows, definitely try saying hi! They are surprisingly smart and actually understand a bit of our language.
As you might expect, they love chatting about honey and flowers, as well as sharing fun facts about their species, and if they like you, they might even give you little quests! Also, if you pay close attention to their flight paths, they could lead you straight to some hidden treasures or cool secret spots!
What else to say... Oh! As a little bonus, here is the animated version of the Bii illustration by Floofkins, the awesome illustrator who also worked on the Frutiger Space Key Art!

For now, that's all! Thank you so much for reading and for being so interested in the game's progress, I really appreciate it and I'll never say it enough. Have a nice day!
